Winfield Lakes (High Lake) - Venue Review

SPALDINGTON

The lake I prefer at this two lake venue is the "High Lake"
It is quite a large water with an island that runs down the middle.
The fishery has good sturdy pegs
There is a large head of big carp in the lake, some must be 18 lb by now.
In addition to the Carp a lot of other species are present too.
When its warm and sunny this venue can produce bags of 150lb...
There is a cabin on site that can be hired for overnight accommodation.
The fishery opens at 8am

Rules state in-line method feeders only and no more than 1 tin of sweet corn allowed. No tins on the bank though

The best pegs are 15 and 1 followed by 9, 24, 14 and 8 although 2, 4, 5, 7,are also popular.
I always prefer peg 19 to be honest

Quotes I've found on other sites include :

"Approximately 1.5 acres and 6.5 foot deep with a peninsula creating a horseshoe shaped lake. The lake has 25 brand new platforms with some area also available on the peninsula. There are some good size carp in this lake reaching 23lb"
