The Island Lake is my favourite at this large venue.
This lake as you'd expect has a large central island and the pegs are well made and secure.
There are a lot of sunken branches meaning that snagging is a problem if you dont land the fish quite quickly.
The fish here like a fight too.
I usually fish on the left hand bank as you approach the lake and fish towards the end of the island.
In addition to this lake, there are another three at the complex.
There is a cafe on site.
Brafferton is a dawn 'til dusk fishery.

if you fish the first pond virtually all the chub died ,as the owner told us due to weather conditions and also some pike but the other ponds are still fishing well
