Redwood Park (Redwood Lake) - Venue Review

CROSS LANES
HUBY
YORK
NORTH YORKSHIRE

This is the biggest lake at the 4 lake complex and the stand out one.
It is quite large with a treeline around the majority of the lake.
There is an island at one end.
The pegs are spacious and well kept.
There seems to be quite a few hybrid fish in the lake. Some fish are difficult to determine whether they are F1 or Crucian Carp.
There are plenty of fish in the lake and you will always catch.
There is an on-site tackle shop and cafe that are only open on match days.
You pay in an honesty box before fishing.
The gates to the complex officially open at 8am but 99.9% of the time they are opened at about 7.15am

Rules state no boilies and no radios

The best pegs are 5 and 21

Quotes I've found on other sites include :

"It is a 1.75 acre well established lake and has an island located off centre. It has 32 pegs and you will find many natural features. Fish range in size with Bream 1lb - 5lb, Tench up to 7lb and Carp up to 20lb"
