Raker Lakes is a big fishery and the lake I prefer to fish is the Acorn Lake.
This is the furthest lake away from the site entrance and is quite a walk.
The lake is big and the pegs are good however it can be a snaggy lake.
The lake does hold matches on though.
Any of the pegs that you can cast to the island from are the best
There are four other lakes on the site and the place is open 7.30am 'til 8.30pm.

Rules state no radios

The best pegs are 5, 13, 16 and 18 although peg 8 is also popular

Quotes I've found on other sites include :

"A peaceful tranquil setting with carp, cruceans, roach, rudd, tench, skimmers, perch and chub. Pellet, paste, caster and meat are the favourite baits. The current match record is 200lb. With 20 pegs this is a great pleasure pond"
