9th May 2017 - Raker Lakes - (Horseshoe Lake)

So a day off from work today and a little trip to Raker Lakes to fish the Horseshoe lake for the first time.
We got to the venue at 9.30am and after setting up we ready for a 6 hour match.
We had chosen two pegs with plenty of features to fish to and even though it was a narrow lake it was still ok for me to fish the method feeder.
The weather was fairly nice and Raker is always a relaxing peaceful place no matter which lake you fish on.
The match was mine from the off. A 5 lb 8 oz Mirror Carp got me on my way and I never looked back. I fished well all day and despite not landing big fish I caught steadily all day finishing with 17 fish for 30 lb 9 oz. Dad struggled badly today and couldn't catch no matter what he tried. He finished with 14 fish for only 12 lb.
A big 5-0 win for me today to get the overall score to 28-12 to me for the season,
