This fishery consists of three lakes.
The one I prefer is the South Lake, which is the lake furthest away from the fishery entrance.
The South Lake is the biggest of the three lakes and is quite open to the elements.
There is one island present and can be quite snaggy around it.
The fish seem to be able to take the baits without hooking themselves which is strange when using a method feeder.
The fishery has a shop/cafe.
The South Lake is stocked with Roach, Rudd, Bream, Chub, Tench, Barbel, Ide, Crucian Carp, Mirror Carp, Common Carp and Crayfish.
The fishery officially opens 7.30am 'til 9pm but you can normally get in before 7
Rules state in-line method feeders only and no tins allowed
The best pegs are the ones near to the Island however the other end which is more narrow seems to hold most Carp in the warmer months
Quotes I've found on other sites include :
"South Lake is heavily stocked with all species of course fish (around 8000 fish) 150 of these fish are Carp weighing between 8lb and 15lb."
"The lake is 2.5 acres in size with one Island. The depths range between 3 feet and 8 feet. The South bank is protected against the wind by a wood the full length of the lake. Bankside vegitation offers excellent margin fishing"
Can you use the pole on the south lake thanks
