21st May 2016 - Docklow Pools (Moby Dick Lake)

Well today Dad could clinch the Docklow Trophy. A 5-0 victory wold win the Trophy for him with a day spare.
I was determined to win today or at least not lose 5-0.
The lake was the large Moby Dick Lake. A lake that had many surrounding trees and vegetation and a few Islands to fish to too.
This lake was doubled pegs like the ones on Mickey Mouse so sitting so close together the pressure was on...
I started off like a steam train building a near 20lb lead...... Carp, Chub, Bream and Tench all landed. The weather was awful. Rained most of the time but Dad still managed to get the Pole out in the periods of fair weather and he kept clawing back and eating into my big lead. To my horror he not only clawed it back but took the lead to win the total weight by a narrow 10oz. Luckily I had caught the biggest fish of the week so far. A deformed Carp of 9lb 8oz
Another defeat though. 4-1.....
Dad was on the brink now of clinching the win. Dad lead 12-8 with only 1 match to go. I needed to win 5-0 the following day of the title would be Dads. I wasnt happy.... Afterall I couldn't win 5-0 tomorrow could I ?
