20th May 2016 - Docklow Pools (Farmer Jack Lake)

I went into this match leading the week 6-4 and still on course for the Docklow Trophy but after yesterdays defeat I was a little nervous.
Having said that, todays match was to be held on Farmer Jack. A smaller lake but known for carp and with Dad opting to use the pole I fancied my chances.
The lake was an unusual shape and appeared to be almost two separate lakes.  I chose to fish peg 45.
There had been a match on the lake the previous day and the winner won with 50lb yet after over 7 hours today I had caught 1 fish. A small F1 Carp of 2lb 9oz
Borrrring.....
I was in a mood and regretting the fact we had chose this lake. My mood worsened by the fact that Dad had caught 6 fish and was heading for a 5-0 win!!! Disaster....
Then unbelievably with 90 seconds to go just like yesterday my rod went round. I needed a big fish to get a point and can you believe it... it was a decent Common Carp of 5lb 10oz to win the single point. Even more satisfying as Id literally given up hope and all but my rod had been packed away.
So another defeat but again could the point be valuable?? It didnt feel like it as after 3 matches my lead had gone and now I trailed 8-7 and Dad could infact win the Docklow Trophy tomorrow with a 5-0 win. Tomorrow I have to up my game and keep the dream alive. I went to bed that night praying I wouldnt lose 5-0 the following day....
