1st October 2016 - Woodlands Lakes (Silver Birch Lake)

Today was another visit up to Woodlands in Thirsk.
The lake we fished was Silver Birch, a lake I'd done pretty poorly on back in May.
We started at 8am and the first hour was rubbish. Neither me or my Dad had a bite so off to the cafe we went.
After Breakfast Dad switched to the pole and over the course of the following 5 hours he caught constantly, all be it mostly tiny silver fish with the exception of a carp of just under 6 lb which he did very well to land. Not only did the carp run him around the legs of a bridge it was also foul hooked.
Meanwhile on the next peg I failed to register a single bite nevermind catch anything
A drubbing 5-0 to Dad and I blanked !!!
Awful performance and I'm just glad I've already won the league as the last two matches I've fished terribly. Well done to Dad though
