So the first match after my title clinching win last week was to be at Woodlands, Thirsk on Willowgarth lake
Dad decided to leave the pole in the car and fish solely with the rod.
The match was nip and tuck all day with small fish the norm.
I started quite slowly with Dad building up a lead of about 10 lb. Over the next couple of hours I pulled it back but couldn't really get on top.
The atmosphere of the day took a dive when a man and his six kids turned up to fish and pretty much took over the lake, they were loud and to be honest did my head in.
Dad won the match today, claiming a 4-1 victory and was well deserved to be fair.
Dads total of 25 lb with me just a couple of pounds behind proved that the fish were still feeding even so late in Sepetember.
Next week i do NOT want to lose again !!!
