29th August 2016 - Winfield Fishery (High Lake)

So today was forcast lovely sunshine so fishing it was to be :
I decided to go on my own to Winfield, a venue I always do well at.
Id booked a peg so was in no rush to get there and arrived at about 9am. The sun was already out and a good day was surely to be had.
The first three hours were fairly quiet (well quiet for this venue). I managed to net 5 Bream (one of which was 3 lb 7 oz so pretty decent) and a Mirror Carp of just short of 5 lb.
After dinner it went crazy. I was catching for fun.
I caught a further 11 fish and also sunburn!!!
8 carp and 3 Bream were caught, The biggest Carp being 6 lb 9 oz
I was impressed with the improvements made to the venue. All pegs were in great order and sturdy. The banking and surrounding area all trimmed and smart and a cafe now on site (although closed today)
All in all I was very glad I went to Winfield today. Had fun, caught fish, relaxed and sat in the sun.
I finished with 17 fish for bang on 50 lb.
