31st July 2016 - Loxley Fishery

Today was match time against Dad again and we decided to travel to Sheffield to fish Loxley Fishery. I'd fished the lake a few weeks ago and not done very well but was confident that today would be different.

We got to the lake at 5.30 and got on pegs 7 & 8. Two very well liked pegs.

The whole day was utter rubbish.We fished 5 hours and I'm now struggling what to write as it was a non existent day really.

Dad fiishing on the pole and switching to rod every so often only caught two fish for about 8 llb. I was languishing on just over 3 lb with 2 two fish too... well..... until the last five minutes when i switched to the pole and caught a lovely 3 lb Barbel. Nice end to a terrible fishing day, made worse by another defeat for me.

I now lead by 17 points and a couple more wins for Dad will set up for a nail biting end of season

Loxley is a fishery I wont be rushing back to.
